FOX News: Potential 'smoking gun' showing Obama administration spied on Trump team

I love how they keep leaving these articles intentionally vague, we already know that this is the stuff leading back to manafort, a guy who was fired from Trumps campaign, who got fired, this is another nothing burger that sounds much more juicy when you say "Trump associates" and leave it intentionally vague

An FBI official claims to have information that suggests collaboration between President Donald Trump's associates and Russian intelligence officials during the 2016 election, CNN reported Wednesday night.

The anonymous law enforcement official told the news outlet that FBI evidence shows "people connected to the campaign were in contact and it appeared they were giving the thumbs up to release information" in order to promote Trump and erode trust in Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Still, other agents said that the evidence in question was almost all circumstantial, which means that it cannot be used to make any conclusive suppositions.

FBI Director James Comey confirmed before Congress on Monday that the agency was investigating the Trump campaign's ties to Russia. This investigation includes reviewing travel, business, and phone, and in-person meeting records between Trump's inner circle and Russian intelligence officials, according to CNN.

US lawmakers or the intelligence community hadn't previously acknowledged having concrete evidence tying Trump or his associates to collusion with the Kremlin.

Rep. Adam Schiff, the California Democrat who is a ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, which is also investigating the Trump-Russia connection, echoed the CNN report in an interview on MSNBC on Wednesday.

"There is more than circumstantial evidence now," Schiff said, declining to get into specifics. "I will say there is evidence that is not circumstantial, and it is very much worthy of investigation."

What is Manafort willing to say about Trump to save his own ass

Paul Manafort volunteers to testify in Russia probe as committee cancels other testimony

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., announced Friday that Paul Manafort, former chairman of Donald Trump's presidential campaign, has volunteered to testify in front of the committee.

Nunes told the press in his announcement Friday that it is up to Manafort to decide whether or not his testimony will be in an open hearing. A Senate source tells ABC News that the Senate Intelligence Committee will also meet with Manafort as part of its similar investigation.

A spokesman for the former Trump campaign chairman told ABC News that Manafort contacted the House committee to volunteer his testimony for the panel's investigation of Russian interference in the presidential election and of whether any Trump associates colluded in those actions.

"As Mr. Manafort has always maintained, he looks forward to meeting with those conducting serious investigations of these issues to discuss the facts," the spokesperson said.

Nunes also clarified that Manafort is not one of the individuals caught up in incidental surveillance of the Trump transition team. Earlier this week Nunes drew skepticism when he revealed to the press and the White House that he had new information from secret sources suggesting the Obama administration had collected surveillance on members of the Trump transition team and possibly Trump himself in the course of the investigation of Russia.

The committee chairmasaid today that the House Intelligence Committee has not received documents from the National Security Administration to officially corroborate those claims from his secret sources and said he doesn't expect to get them today.

Democrats have asserted that no matter what NSA documents the committee receives, the president's claims that his predecessor wiretapped him during the campaign will never be vindicated. Many have called into question Nunes' ability to conduct a fair investigation of the Russia matter.

Nunes also announced today that the committee has called on FBI Director James Comey and the National Security Agency director, Adm. Mike Rogers, to return to the Hill to brief the House Intelligence Committee in a closed session. Nunes said the panel needs a private session with Comey and Rogers because there are things they couldn’t talk about publicly in Monday's public hearing.

In anticipation of that closed meeting, a previously planned March 28 hearing is now postponed, Nunes also announced.

A number of senior former intelligence and Justice Department officials had been invited to the March 28 hearing, including former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates.

The ranking Democratic member on the Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, D-Calif., tweeted that Chairman Nunes cancelled the hearing in an "attempt to choke off public info."

More like, 'is manafort going to be the ham sandwich that gets indicted to save the left from complete embarrasment with this phony investigation'.

They've got nothing on trump, they've got a report linking russia to the hacking of the dnc that gets laughed and scoffed at by cybersecurity professionals, and most of all....

The only crime that we know of that can be traced to a direct source, is the crime that the intel community committed to out flynn. This is the crime that tony and the left pretend didn't happen while they engage in a never ending search of a crime by trump.

It took the right about five seconds to identify the actual crime and the entity it came from with regard to the illegal distribution of info from the intel community.

The left has spent over eight months and has nothing at all, while they pretend they're really on to something.

Put up or shut up. Where have I heard that before? Last week as I recall.

They've got nothing on trump

If that was the case Comey probably would have said that or something similar like when he cleared Hillary or said he had nothing on Obama tapping Trump, but Comey said the Trump investigation is still underway.

Of course you want The FBI to shut it down. The longer it goes on the worse it likely is for Trump.

You mean like the left demanded that trump shut it down, and now one week later.....

LOL
It's so easy to respond to every post of yours because all it really takes is one simple word.

HYPOCRITE

Wasnt the left the one who told us that "Throwing your political opponents in jail is something third world dictators do," When it involved Hillary's shady dealings? Wonder why there is a sudden change of heart.

HYPOCRITE

HYPOCRITE is a good way to describe our president for sure.

However, I am truly hoping that the whole thing will blow off and nothing is found on Trump. If they do, it will be very bad for our country. While most of you are "Right agenda" first, I am America first. Trump is new at politics, and these few blenders hopefully taught him a good lesson.

I wish him to be a great president for all our sake!!!

The FBI may have a pretty good idea of what Trump did and are currently trying to get people they have enough evidence to convict to testify against him.

I actually love it that Tony Stark and his ilk keep trying to push the losing narrative and keep being proven how wrong they are. Every time they push some fake news, it gets flipped on them and we win again! I never get tired of all this winning. Eventually more democrats will be so tired of losing, they'll become republicans just so they can know what its like to win.
