An article at the DailyCaller today revealed that a professor at the University of Toronto refuses to use genderless pronouns and it has caused an uproar on campus.
Over 250 faculty members penned a letter critical of his actions because they say it leads to a rise in threats against some students. And many tranny students are refusing to go to class because they say they now don't feel safe.

They've got way too much time on their hands. I doubt anything will change until the next economic crisis, which should be a doozy, and they feel lucky to get their next meal. Maybe then they'll stop acting like imbeciles.

During my time in Canada, the University of Toronto is the same set of academic clowns who put in place "micro-aggression" policies for any speaker invited to present on campus. All of our presentations were technical material on software engineering, network security, statistics, or finance, not political material. However their policies stated that even saying "Good morning" to students at the beginning of your speech was a form of "micro-aggression" against students because the speaker was a "dominant figure" (especially if they were a white male) - and how dare you demand anyone have a "good morning". After putting up with this nonsense for a bit most companies decided to stop presenting at the University of Toronto. Demanding that speakers adhere to a ridiculous "micro-aggression" policy (with all sorts of dire threats about violating it) was demeaning to anyone we volunteered to send over to present.

The problem is academics who hand invited presenters a list of benign phrases they are not allowed to use in their presentations. Imagine the furor if I discussed "master / slave systems" in my lecture.

The limiting of speech on campus has gone to far when representatives from employers are unwilling to show up on your campus to speak to your students -- because no matter what they talk about someone is going to claim they offended your student body audience.

These students are in for a shock when they get into the real world and have to work a job.
