Fox News poll: Majority thinks Trump is tearing the country apart

By Jacqueline Thomsen - 08/30/17 06:50 PM EDT

A majority of voters believe President Trump is tearing the country apart, according to a new Fox News poll released Wednesday.

Fifty-six percent of respondents in the poll said Trump is “tearing the country apart,” compared to the 33 percent who think he’s “drawing the country together.”

Democrats overwhelmingly — 93 percent — said Trump is dividing the nation. Only 15 percent of Republicans agree with that statement, as do 53 percent of independents.

Sixty-eight percent of Republicans said he’s drawing the country together.
Trump also received his worst approval ratings in the Fox News poll to date. He earned a 41 percent approval rating, with 55 percent saying they disapprove of the job he’s doing.

The number of voters who are happy with how things are going in the country sunk to a four-year low of 35 percent, down 10 points since April.

Fifty-six percent of respondents to the survey say Trump doesn't respect racial minorities, and only 35 percent approve of his response to the deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., earlier this month.

Voters polled believe Trump dislikes the media more than white supremacists by a 70 percent to 13 percent margin.

Fox News conducted phone interviews with 1,006 registered voters Aug. 27-29 and has a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

Funny. Democrats put on black masks, smash store windows, assault old men in wheelchairs, unlawfully defy the presidents orders with their politicians shouting "RESIST!" and then blame Trump for their actions.

Just more evidence that democrats don't take responsibility for their own actions.

Trump is not tearing the country apart. The rejected Establishment's response to Trump is what is tearing the country apart.

Remember Odumbo chastising, "... if you want to make policy, then you win elections...." Well, we did. And the Left is FURIOUS about it. They have no intention of just "going along until the next election... which if they win, they can change things they don't like"... you know, like we Americans have been doing for so long.

The Left wants everything their dictatorial way, and right now!! And are willing to do virtually anything to make that happen. Hope it doesn't turn into a bloody civil war (yes, people really are that stupid), but I wouldn't be surprised.

:(

I expect Hillary's popularity to soar. It always has when she is out of office and people begin to think of her as some icon with her picture on a coin who did something somewhere long ago that must have been good. Then when she gets out with the people and they see her popularity dives again.

I remember the countless times during the campaign where her handlers decided that people just needed to get to know her- particularly millennials- who did not know anything about her or her generation. Problem was that to know her is to hate her. Don't kid yourself, one of the reasons they did not put her out to campaign hard- aside from her lazy entitlement attitude- is that it worked against her.

Meanwhile, an entire generation, who had never even heard of a 74 year old white guy from vermont supported him enthusiastically and the more they saw of him, the more they wanted to see him again, not something hillary experienced.

So yeh, trump is actually doing things and taking heat, and I expect hillary's popularity to rise because it always does when she just goes away for a while. Sigh.
