Fox News lies, falsely claims SC Primary is closed

No, I have consistently said the BASE of the GOP. Did you watch the South Carolina debates? No racists, in there, right?

I have also said the GOP is making a statement by picking Romney. It is called homework. Do some of it sometimes:D

I have said as well the GOP is trying to purge the former dixiecrats out of their party as well.

You got no case.

I love how you deny how you label all the right wing people on ET. And I love how you say that because the GOP is racist, they are nominating Romney, the liberal moderate over someone from say, the racist tea party. LOL. Ron, please read what you write before you post. It's a bunch of gibberish.

For the record, Mav is closer to correct than anyone on the tax thing. It seems that people are confusing the top marginal rate with the actual rate that someone pays. The 25% rate is only paid on income earned after $34,500. So someone earning $35K would only pay the 25% rate on $500 worth of income. On the first $8,500 they pay nothing, as they get the standard deduction. Then they would pay the 15% rate on everything else.

After considering most common deductions and credits, The vast majority of people earning around $35K will pay less than 5% effective federal tax rate on total income.

In fact, many studies show that most households with normal income levels only end up paying an effective rate around 16%, even though the top marginal rate is 25-28%. What it always came down to was that the more the family makes, the more deductions they typically qualify for.

Epic, if someone makes 47k a year they owe about 3,500 in taxes through each bracket. The EITC is 3500 thereby reducing their federal obligation to zero. This is why people say, anyone making under 47k a year pays no federal income tax. So you are correct about the brackets, but the credit is not a "deduction", it's an actual credit which means it comes off the bottom, not the top.

Depends on how many kids you have.

You should also realize that I'm getting a lot of my information from his campaign staff. They have stated that he will not be targeting FL much because the media market is too expensive there and so far it is still WTA. If they change to proportional it will still probably be WTA by congressional district, so Paul would still face the same problem he did in Iowa. He won't win any districts, so he still won't get delegates, even if they are proportional.

btw, thought I should provide a link to support my arguments about Paul not competing in states like FL, and also mainly trying to get enough delegates to have a voice at the convention.

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politic...backup-strategy-while-seeking-the-nomination/

There are many instances of Jesse Benton suggesting that "if" Paul cannot win the nomination, the plan is to build their delegate count for future bargaining power.

The main problem with this strategy is that he really needs someone else to challenge Romney for the nomination. If Romney easily wins, then Paul's 250 delegates won't matter at all. But if it is tight, then Paul's support means something to him.

deflection, a common tactic...
Yes, we see it from you and your fellow flaming liberals often here.

...when you say "blacks are" that is racist...

No, it's not. Unless of course saying "Appalachians are" or "red necks are" is also racist.

What does this even mean? Are you implying that everyone in SC is a racist? Really? I don't even know what you are trying to say anymore. No...wait...oh yeah...everyone's a racist. Nevermind. LOL.
