Fox News host tears into Trump: News media is not your problem — 'it's you'

Fox News host Neil Cavuto tore into President Donald Trump on Tuesday night for Trump's continued social-media outbursts that targeted the news media and members of his own administration in recent days.

"Mr. President, it's not the 'fake-news media' that's your problem," Cavuto said. "It's you. It's not just your tweeting — it's your scapegoating. It's your refusal to see that sometimes you're the one who's feeding your own beast — and acting beastly with your own guys."

Trump this week publicly expressed his disappointment with the Justice Department for its handling of his now-blocked "travel ban," calling the newest version of his own executive order on the matter a "watered down," "politically correct" version that was not strong enough. Trump signed both versions of the order before they each were blocked by federal appeals courts.

"The Justice Dept. should have stayed with the original Travel Ban, not the watered down, politically correct version they submitted to S.C.," Trump tweeted Monday, continuing a rant on that issue that began Saturday evening, as a deadly terrorist attack unfolded in London.

"I bet they're too afraid to tell you," Cavuto continued. "They're not perfect, but they do have your back. Do you have theirs," he asked, referring to the president's administration.

Trump has been firing off salvos at the news media on Twitter, accusing outlets of trying to silence him on the social-media platform: "The FAKE MSM is working so hard trying to get me not to use Social Media," Trump said on Twitter on Monday. "They hate that I can get the honest and unfiltered message out."

"Sorry folks, but if I would have relied on the Fake News of CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, washpost or nytimes, I would have had ZERO chance winning WH," Trump said in another tweet shortly after.

Cavuto sought to turn the spotlight back on Trump: "Mr. President, they didn't tweet disparaging comments about a London mayor in the middle of a murder spree — you did. They didn't turn on a travel ban that you signed — you did. You're right to say a lot of people are out to get you ... but ... the buck stops with you, Mr. President."

"I find it ironic that on this, the 73rd anniversary of D-Day, some of your most ardent backers are desperately girding for another battle — not for Normandy — for normalcy," Cavuto said.

Just more proof FOX is fair and balanced. Why was this not also on CNN,NBC,ABC,CBS? Why do we have to go to FOX to hear both sides?

The study, from the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, examined print editions of the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and USA Today, the main newscasts on ABC, CBS and NBC, as well as CNN’s The Situation Room and Fox’s Special Report.

The study found that 62% of the coverage of Clinton and 56% of the coverage of Trump was negative in tone. These numbers actually overstate the amount of positive press the candidates received. Most of the “positive” stories here were about new poll numbers. Each one of these horse race stories was “good press” for one candidate and “bad press” for the other.

And if FOX just rubber stamps everything Trump does they will be right where all those discredited fake news sources like ABC,CBS,NBC as well as CNN, a proven protest stager, are now. But then again, they are not trying to reach people like me even though I am an avid tv watcher because I never watch them anymore. I just see the stuff that goes viral like the muslim "photo op."
