It seems to me you are either being disingenuous, closed minded, or tired. If you’re being closed minded, it may be because you are caught up in the emotional aspects of politics and this emotionalism is overriding your critical reasoning skills. I know you are smart and capable of critical reasoning, but you have not been showing such capability or skill in your last few posts. If you are tired a lot, well you know what to do.
The Democrats, as seen with Hillary, but especially with Warren, are increasingly using effective social engineering strategies to increase their influence among voters. Their focus is not about being responsive to voter’s concerns, rather it is making the Radical Leftist agenda more palatable to as many voters as possible. Perhaps instead of using the term “Social engineering”, I should use the term “Social virusing” when talking about Elizabeth Warren’s campaigning strategy. She sounds good and we want to believe she means well, but It is other than confidence inspiring to see Warren claim she was a Native American on a application as an attorney. At least Warren did not use a Indian Reservation as an address. Has or will Warren claim she can feel Native American pain as well?
Trump has obviously also used social engineering in his political campaigns. The difference between Lying Lawyer Warren and Supremely Successful Billionaire Trump is at least Trump is trying to be responsive to his constituents and he understands business. Few would argue, even including some of the Leftists here on ET, that a Warren Presidency would be bad for the stock market. There would be less risk taking, less job creation, lower innovation, and less capital formation. Economic opportunities and the standard of living would certainly decline for the working class under a Warren Presidency. Combined with Demographic challenges, it seems reasonable to expect the US to undergo a severe economic contraction under Warren with likely major flight of capital out of the United States. So much for the dollar and maybe our low interest rates as well.
The Republicans are stupid to think they can bullshit the American people, or more specifically independents and undecideds, into thinking there are no reasons to worry about our environment. The Republican’s are too stupid to take the initiative on privacy issues or a more neutral stance on net neutrality. Sure there will be a loss of lobbying money from telcos, etc., but how much of a consolation will that be if the Republican Party is effectively politically extinct?
It would be nice to see both you and the Republican Party make more effort at thinking at a higher level. Then again, it is more difficult to do as politicians and Party leaders get older, is it not?
