** rowshan update **

The S&P hit the upper end of its range around the 940 area. With sudden extreme bullish sentiment, this area looks to be a top, and downside action should commence later this week.

Can you put that in the form of a report? thanks.

** rowshan report **

stock trad3r's index, unveiled on ET in July 2008, has plummeted over -75% in 6 months!! turder picked stock to go long like fcx, pot, mos all at their lifetime highs. The turder index is down a whopping -75% in only 6 months.

Hard to see the S&P busting through the upper end of the range @ 940. Looks like the path of least resistance is now down.

As per Joe's request, this thread will be a serious trading thread. The premise is that the S&P won't see 1000 in January. My reasoning is as follows:

1) quite suddenly, there's alot of bullish sentiment
2) complacency is setting in--the vix is below 40
3) The year got off to a positive start (a headfake)
4) there's irrational optimism about what Obama can do
5) there's an extreme lack of awareness regarding the deluge of companies that will go bankrupt in 2009

The S&P closed at 931.8. It will not see 1000 in January. It will see 850 before it sees 1000.
Any comments on this great call? Alot of $$ made selling premium here!

good call, so far. I think the puts are a better play though, we might very well hit vix 60 in the coming months

Which puts? I've been looking at them but the premiums are too rich for my blood.

I agree w you about the vix. I just got long Feb 50 calls @ $2 approx, and am looking to buy more. Seems like a very safe bet. There will be another wave of selling and the vix could go way up again.

I'm long SPY MAR and JUL, strikes around 75 and 77
Gary shilling is talking about sp500 to 600(15 multiple in $40 earnings)
I'm praying the bulls return and send vol down so I can load up and hit a home run on this
