Forex vs stocks: Which market is better to trade?

The only mention of it I found was on fxstreet.com

USD/JPY delivers sheer volatility ahead of revision of BoJ’s inflation forecasts

USD/JPY delivered a volatile spike as BoJ set to raise inflation forecasts for the fiscal year of 2023 and 2024.

It really depends on your preference and risk tolerance. Forex offers 24/5 trading and high liquidity, while stocks have more stability but can require more research. It's like choosing between pizza and sushi – it's all about what suits your taste!

futures-forex included ... spot forex is the worst..... it is so manipulated.... GS got fined 500 million for alleged manipulation in spot FX from 2008-20013.... and this is what got caught in the net. spot FX avoid like plague

wait, are you saying that fx futures are somewhat different than spot fx (for retail traders, i mean)?

currency futures are from regulated exchanges like CME.
bid-offer spread is small.
you can plot a volume-based chart (and also the usual time-based chart).

spot fx aka CFDs are from don't-know-what exchange.
The bid-offer spread is horrific.
So it is impossible to earn money by day trading.
Volume data is questionable.
You can't plot a volume-based chart

Doesn't eur futures trade at 1 point spread?

Spot has eurusd spreads lower than 1 point usually.

I'm pretty sure spot have, on average, lower spreads than futures. Maybe i'm wrong.

Volume analysis is definitely questionable (to put it modestly) at retail spot brokers.

You should try both and experience it.

oh, i've tried alright :)

Maybe you can give me proof, though?

PS. If you are referring to force majeure events then i agree completely that spot spreads go wild west and futures are much more contained. Other than that though...Can't really say that IB for example has horrific spreads on spot compared to futs.

For those with experience in both forex and stock trading, which market do you consider better, and why?
One other thing I neglected to mention...

When trading Forex, I always use market orders and have my positions filled instantly, or at worst, within a second or two. When trading stocks, I NEVER use market orders. Otherwise, the price I pay might not be anywhere near whatever value the asset had at the time I placed my order.

I ALWAYS use limit order when trading stocks. I NEVER use limit orders when trading Forex.

Hello everyone.
After interacting with the forex market for several years, I have discovered unique characteristics that traders can exploit to their advantage. However, I've noticed that most people I come across primarily trade stocks, not currencies. For those with experience in both forex and stock trading, which market do you consider better, and why?
Forex is a messy place. I traded it for six years and for about 5,000 hours. It's too crazy so I walked away from it and am trading equities now.
