They shouldn't be risking more than they can afford to loose. Maybe they feel they have learnt from their mistakes and not in their nature to give up. Or maybe they have an addictive, gambling style personality like you say. I think each case should be judged individually.

Traders need to be more mindful about what they are doing. Just because no one is keeping a check on them doesn’t mean they are free to do anything. They should know where to stop just how they know where to start.
overtrade is definitely a common trading mistake that trader makes cause they like the feel to gamble their money away.
Either the ones who make consistent profits or those who lose maximum times are most prone to getting addicted to trading. The other ones know how to maintain a balance between trading and other activities. This is why you must not distract from your trading plan and trade only when you are ready for all types of results.
Money making activities like forex trading are addictive by nature. No matter whether you lose or win, you want to make more money. This calls for strong mental control. Analyse before you open a trading position.
