Any opinion would appreciated

I was also looking for a FX broker contest to join, and I went with
MG forex. MG will provide each demo contest account 25,000 USD of virtual money to trade with and $1000/per unit margin. They have two options, the monthly one and the ultimate/annual one. In the beginning, I was thinking about doing the annual one. After I contested for 3 months I felt I was ready to trade live. MG allowed me to transfer the balance of my contest fee into a live account. Since then I have been trading live with MG. Their prizes for monthly is $1500, and $3000 for ultimate demo contest.
I also looked into FXCM contest; they require that you have at least a 1000 dollars cash of your own money deposited with them to participate in the contest. I was reluctant about using my own money to trade in a contest.

But one asks for 250 and the other asks for 1000 of your own money. How could you compare that to 50 dollars and the use of 25,000 of virtual money, plus if you could win that money, then you better off trading with it anyway. Because a lot of the people that I competed with knew what they were doing.

here is a thread that I started , put in the NFA id numbers of the companies that you are talking about, and look at their histories
