I've been with a few of the bigger Forex bucketshops and I have to say that even though there are some undesirable things that happen, overall I can't really complain since I have not really lost [big] money due to their actions.
As traders, all brokers will have shit happen occasionally and I have to say that I truly think that the "all forex trading is a scam" is way blown out of proportion.
If you can trade well -- and keep your leverage in check -- then you should be fine.
