Not true. There were down periods before. Never was a guaranteed free money V like we are seeing now. And I mean an instant V. There was fear. It was not this idea that no matter what you will be instantly rewarded if you bought the dip.
If you can't see that this market is much different than before, I don't know what else to say.
It's not clear to me what you mean by 'this market'. Again, if you're referring to the last 8 weeks, that's a mighty short sample size to infer anything.
And prior to these 8 weeks, there were several down weeks that were not an instant V.
If you don't see that, I don't know what else to say...
Historically, this is very good period of the year in the market, so that's nothing new. Since 1990, December closes green 76 % of the time, and a great deal of the red ones coincided with periods of crisis.
