My personal view is more left, but that is not the point either. I was merely comparing American perceptions of Obama before taking office and actual Obama. Actual Obama is more centrist than the originally perceived Obama. I am speaking in relative terms. It has nothing to do with my own political leanings. The observation is objective fact. He may not be centrist enough for you, but he is more centrist than he was originally believed to be by many Americans.

These are my thoughts as well. I think the Conservatives winning office the past two elections as well as their constant lead in the polls are evidence of Canadians' desire for less government. Not necessarily minimal government (because I think most Canadians are satisfied with our government funded education and healthcare system), but certainly they don't want to see government get any bigger at the very least.
These are just my personal opinions and observations, obviously this doesn't apply to everybody.

It isn't the viewpoint of most Americans? Do you think that most Americans have a favorable opinion of Palin? This woman is clearly not bright enough to run the superpower of the world. I would argue that she's not even bright enough to run a state. An isolated, northern state.
This post is not meant to flame, because I know there are Palin supporters here, but I am just trying to understand the logic. Maybe people agree with much of the message she attempts to portray on various topics of interest, but really, would you trust her with the decision of whether or not to go to war? With economic policy? No matter if you are conservative or liberal, surely common sense will prevail?
