I don't know much about Eastern Europe.I can say that in many ex-USSR republics there are a lot of local people who believes that only complete losers from Europe or States visit their countries and marry local girls.Ex-USSRers know that the majority of western women are very free minded.Thus an expat married a local girl there considered to be a loser being unable to find a woman in his country or culture.I don't know why but the guy that has a wife from Thailand is looked upon by his colleagues
as if he married a prostitute.Maybe because of this Thailand's bad reputation,who knows.

Personally, I think westerners in general are somewhat primadonnas.
My sister (white American) basically supported her husband for years, because he was incompetent in his home business and brought in little income. Eventually she gave up and divorced after 18 years.
I am engaged to a philippines woman. I dated American women for years and eventually gave up. I could not find what I was looking for: a heart of gold. I kept getting career-oriented women. I am not career-oriented, and my tomb will NOT say "I should have spent more time at the office."!!!!! I am family oriented only.
Personally, I consider my fiancee as gorgeous, gentle, kind, and supportive. She is almost maintenance free. When we talk, we support each other & have zero arguments.
I make her needs my first priority, and just make her aware I need to live to a budget. I try to live a simple, inexpensive life. She sees the value of putting away as much as possible for retirement and for a rainy day, instead of filling the apartment with expensive toys and painting the town red. I neither try to keep up with the Joneses nor try to impress anyone with my toys. I am completely debt free. Making a good salary does not mean you need a large mortgage and heavy debt...

I married a venezuelan blonde bombshell ( hungarian decent ) with the fire of a dragon and the heart of a lion...one of the toughest bitches i know... Fantastic wife and more importantly a great mom...which by the way is the only reason to be married nowadays....if you dont want children id suggest not getting married.
