i find i hard to believe that people cant understand the danger allowing a few to spread horrible diseases that were mostly eliminated back into the population. have we forgotten history of what older generations went through. do we allow the irrational fears of a few dictate the health of the majority?
i have a friend whose grandfather died young from a simple sliver in his finger. there were no tetanus vacinations then. a minor injury that we would think nothing of today killed him.
I understand entirely what you are saying, but as stated, there are a LOT of vaccinations going.
Many these days, not life threatening at all, and as importantly, the stats regarding the efficacy of said vaccinations are skewed, in my opinion.
Take tetanus for example-sure , the standard antibiotic may work well, but i never heard of anyone with a rusty nail through there foot NOT getting a booster, backup shot or other antibiotics, regardless of if they had the innoculation or not.
How about malaria-fact is, they know squat about it, there are, now, drug resistant strains, quinine wont save you.
Allowing the irrational fears and health concerns of the majority is what public health has been built upon, doesnt matter if its total rubbish.
