When I first stumbled on this site, I was absolutely blown away. It was full of insightful worthwhile material. What more could some poor soul trying to understand the markets ask for? I would spend countless hours reading current and past threads – always coming away feeling as though my time was well spent.

I don’t come away with that feeling anymore. The board seems to have been taken over by a mob of mean spirited hateful morons – hell bent on hurting and humiliating other members. People who have committed no sin, done no wrong, or caused any harm. Just well meaning souls who log on to kill some time, maybe shoot the shit, or even pass along some knowledge. These people are the heart and soul of this board – it’s very life-blood.

Baron, do you ever read the crap posted here? Are you aware of the increasing number of personal attacks – the cruel and vulgar assaults directed endlessly at some people? Than why do you permit it to go on? It’s as though you sanction it. Obviously, you have spent a lot of time and effort in building this site, but can you say that you are proud of what it is turning into?

The usual instruction to just put so-and-so on “ignore” simply doesn’t cut it any more. In plain easy to understand terms, I ask, what are you going to do about it? I could be wrong, but I don’t think that I am alone in this.

This has all been rehashed yet again in recent threads such as the following:

But the gist is whether or not anything can be done and, if so, if anyone is going to do it. So far, none of the suggestions have been acceptable, or are at least less acceptable than granting FPC, for example, continued and apparently permanent tenancy.

Which is another way of saying that what we have is what we want.

Hey don't make me out to be the poster child for trouble 'round here. I'm not to blame (if any ONE is). I post regular board when I wish or can contribute something meaningful, and I confine myself for most part to Chat when I have nothing to say.

This junk looks really bad to potential advertisers and that is how the site makes money. It really should not be allowed.

100% agree - a public banning of a couple of the worst offenders would put a stop to this.

How it looks isn't as pertinent as the fact that advertisers themselves are attacked. I assume they receive value in spite of this. Otherwise, it would be difficult to understand why they subject themselves to it.

db, from what I have read, the advertisers monitor the boards to some degree. Since representatives do post rebuttals from time to time. But the trolls are not as nasty to them as to ordinary people it seems to me.

I am just supportive of comments made. What ever Baron does is totally up to him. I can like it or lump it.

I guess it depends on what you call "nasty". Regardless of what I may think of Brandon F's methodology, I can't believe what is posted regarding his free trials, journals, etc.

I'll grant that the rotten tomatoes are part of the cost of doing business. But so much of this goes way beyond what is normal.
