For those that want an Aeron chair

Quote from cashonly:

Those chairs say they are for "intensive" work and are designed to be sat in all day.
But if you want a chair to sit in without having to get up, check this one out:

If that's the seating they offer at Bright, then I don't blame you for trading remote.
No, my take is, this is why Cash chooses to trade from his home-office -
a comfy all-in-one throne from which to monitor the market and other BT remotes.
And with no carpet, chair mat, or caster hassles.

He just keeps the air on... http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=777886

Aeron chair is great if you have the money. I have the metal finish very mint. Makes sitting on my ass all somewhat bearable.

But on the negative it is very pricey. I wonder if someone in China has duplicated yet?

The recent issue of Forbes has an article on a clothing discounter. The first paragraph says the company saved money on a Chinese knock-off of the Aeron chair for $20 a piece. Somebody post the name of the Chinese company if you can get it. Obviously won't be the quality of the Aeron, but it's also clear that Aeron is making suckers out of people at the Aeron prices. Always check China. It saves you money you wont have to make up through your trading.

Wow, nothing like a cheap Chinese knock off..............
If you spend a lot of time in a chair, the Aeron is the way to go. I have a slight feeling that a $20 piece of crap from China just is not the same as my $1000 Aeron. Just a hunch..........

I doubt you have ever spent any time in China, but if you have, did you find the quality of crap at the silk market in Beijing to be the same of actual Polo, Lacoste, Armani, Zegna, etc products?

Check ebay, people really have a fun time ripping people off on fake name brand products, maybe someone there is selling the fake aerons?

Another option is the ergonomic chair for those who often find themselves praying while trading:

i still have the orginal hag chair from norway. takes the pressure of the back by resting on the knees. too bad they stop producing my model. i have not seen any cheap knockoffs like mine

that office depot chair ... is cheap ... compared to Aeron ... no comparison ... comfortwise ...

and I do not use an Aeron presently

but have sat in them from time to time

tried the O.D. knockoff today

:(
