For NYSE and AMEX stocks, what exactly is "THRD" comprised of?

On Level II for NYSE and AMEX stocks, there's the MMID "THRD" which I believe stands for third market. I know Knight is included, but who else?

I see the island and arcabook but not instinet. Where are the instinet orders displayed?
