For my Christians Friends

Quote from volente_00:

Well, Tdog, I took your advice and got to see what your idol dawkins thinks.

Well, Tdog, I took your advice. I read a load of goofball bullshit by someone called Ben Stein.

>... not all people of faith are mindless automatons who
>have not put any thought into why they believe what
>they believe. In addition, not all atheists or agnostics
>are highly intelligent critical thinkers who think before
>they leap.

Very well said.

>Fact is, this world is filled with suffering and injustice.
>Belief in God is so tempting, for that very reason. And
>one does not have to be a Marxist to see that religion
>can be a drug, a painkiller to help get through the day.

Yep, there's a great song from Tim Mcgraw titled "Drugs or Jesus". I have no use for either -- I don't find that they help one deal with reality.

Quote from stu:

volente_00 to paraphrase.
It is logically reasonable to say God exists because you cannot prove God does not exist.

Quote from volente_00:
If you can 100% show me that God does not exist I will join your side tonight. If you can't offer evidence to your very strong statement then how is your argument any different from mine?

I can 100% show you that God does not exist and I can offer evidence to my very strong statement.

Quote from volente_00
The simple fact remains that you can not prove that God does not exist, so your basic premise is groundless.:

What I state 100% must be true, because you cannot prove, that I can't prove, God does not exist. Nor can you prove that I can't offer, evidence to my very strong statement

Should you argue against any of the above , you will of course have no choice but to be arguing against your own argument. In that case you will in effect demonstrate to yourself that 'you can't prove a negative'.
If however you "receive" even more fkd up logic and now think you can prove my negative, then of course it will only be confirming God does not exist.

When or should you ever work that through , all the same, please don't join the atheist side as you promise. With the approach you take toward reasoned logic, it is enough that you must already be inflicting awful nuisance onto theists.

I had to quote this post in its entirety. stu, this will be lost on volente; he'll never be able to understand the humour in it, nor the accuracy with which you parody his absurd 'logic'. Very entertaining, thank you.

Is it not fascinating what passes for reasoning among these people? Did you catch the 'I lost my wallet and then it didn't exist but I found it so it existed all along, therefore God exists' argument?

Imagine that, more ad hominem, seems to be a common response from close minded people when you back them into a corner with the truth. That circular logic does wonders in that small close mind of yours. Still waiting on you to prove your unrestricted negative with proof.

Who read anything ? The man interviewed your king, dawkins, and asked him some questions, and he resorted to babbling, and changing the subject just like you idiots do on here instead of answering the questions. When he finally did answer, the king of atheism, said science points to a higher power being a possibility, as long as we don't call that higher power God. Argue you all you want, but your atheism king said it clear as day. Go see the movie, interesting how the majority of scientists who are said to be great thinkers are so closed minded when it comes to critical thinking that does not justify their theory.

Speaking of delusion, what do you call a professed atheist that says in an interview that it is possible that there is a higher power that exists ?

Surely you can't be that much of a complete tit head volente?
Your own so called logic not mine. Nobody's fault other than you own if that small closed mind you're now given youself can't get to grips with that fact.

Very welcome.:)
Right there Nik. True to form a religious zealot's trip ends up in absurdity as he can no longer even understand the argument he makes nor the ramifications of his own reasoning working against his own argument. Classic.

Lol yep. A Luverly demonstration of volente's incomprehensible pompous self-righteousness in all its lack of glory.

Stu,

I eagerly await your reply on how you prove your unrestricted negative that God does not exist. Your avoidance of the answer speaks loudly of the intelligence of your atheism religion. Seems quite ironic that some atheist on here tell me you can't prove a negative with logic yet their fundamental BELIEF is the very thing. I'm all ears mr intelligence. So please give us your logical answer on how you prove this unrestricted negative. We don't want the subject changed. We don't want you to attack the questioner. We only want you to answer to the question. So either answer the question or STFUSTU.

Well, i don't know about all the foregoing arguments. I'm just weighing the probability that a guy that was dead for three days comes back to life, pushes a giant boulder aside, and then joins his buddies for dinner, against the probability that he didn't.:D
