The findings are particularly significant in light of rising rates of STIs in the US, particularly chlamydia, syphilis, and gonorrhea.
Casual sex is hazardous. There are about a dozen infections spread by sexual contact. Only a few of which are protected by a condom. Some of which are "forever"... including new strains of antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea. (If you've ever had the clap, you can imagine what a hassle it would be to endure those symptoms for the rest of your life.)
