Pabst. Here is the deal. I don't mind the guff, and that's because I usually find it amusing. I sure can't be made to feel bad by people I don't know (more importantly people who don't know me).

And the truth is, I seldom am critical of others unless it is in an unhurtful (hopefully) way. I will make fun of Fasterpussycat for getting goofy, but I think he knows I mean him no ill will. And I have poked fun at Darkhorse, and he at me. We truly like each other. (or at least I like him).

I don't mind disagreeing with people. It would be boring if we didn't disagree. But, using Darkhorse for example.....he may have antagonized others, but he has been respectful, and respectable. So if he says something outrageous that I may disagree with, at least it can lead to a thought provoking discussion. (Although I try to stay clear of the religious stuff, 'cause it just doesn't make sense to speak your mind about stuff that people who don't agree with you will not listen to).

Dave Smith (who has the same name as one of my main influences as a guitar teacher...but I know it can't be him), along with (for example), superego, just annoys me. I don't care what he thinks, and I don't care what he says. I just have to greatly disrespect anyone who makes their point by putting down everyone else. I remember Superego started off his ranting about all ET traders having "tiny little brains". And now DaveSmith says the same kind of thing. And that ET traders have no life, etc.

This kind of anger, in my opinion, comes either from lack of self respect, lack of self confidence, or lack of self identity. So I guess we should feel sorry for a guy like this. But it's hard to feel sorry for anyone who, unprovoked, just goes on the offense with the sole intention of building himself up in the only way he can think of. Which is to tear others down. He is not unique. Nor is he likely to be truthful about his hedge fund success, or any other success. Blowhards are blowhards. Success is usually accompanied by humility and tolerance and good vibes.

My wife is an attorney, a COO and a CFO of a large corporation. And she looks like a model. But I have only made fun of her and our relationship here, 'cause it has been about humor. Not saying how because I have a happy marriage that makes me better than others. It doesn't. It only makes me lucky.
