For all the moral equivalence-hampered moonbats

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

I just read the account of this incident in USA Today, hardly a Bush apologist. Their article states that troops launched a raid against a building where insurgents were holed up and faced small arms fire. Airstrikes were called in, followed by a ground assault. They found 15 dead terrorists, in addition to the women and children.

Now I don't know if these women and children were family members of the terrorists or just found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, although the former seems more likely. This is the same situation Israel faced in their last warfare against hezhbollah. Terrorists attack from civilian areas or try to use civilians as shields. Both are clear violations of the Geneva Conventions, but the media never mention that, only that "civilians" were killed. I suppose liberals would prefer our soldiers to give afree pass to terrorists hiding behind civilians, and to a large extent, that is exactly what our troops do, even if it means exposing themselves to terrible risks. But warfare is never risk free and civilians have always suffered disproportionately. If you want to avoid being a civlian casualty, probably the best action is to avoid terrorists. shelter them and you are fair game.

Let's not forget something, their country has been invaded. Many of the people are clearly NOT happy about this and are fighting back. Their army wasn't worth much so they have taken it upon themselves to fight back. Now why are you referring to them as terrorists? Were the french resistance in the nazi occupied france also terrorists for fighting back? If china invaded america and the army fell, would you like to be called a terrorists for picking up a gun or whatever you had to fight back? I know you read the word terrorists on CNN or wherever, but come on, you can make your own mind up if they should be classed as terrorists

Quote from CaptainObvious:

To worry about collateral damage is the fast track to defeat. Something we've gotten quite good at over the last 4-5 decades. No coincidence that's precisely how long we've been getting our asses kicked around the world. Had we been less concerned with collateral damage, and more concerned with winning, this war would be long over.

Oh yeah, let's have a round of Hiroshimas and a few Nagasakis thrown in for good measure. Yes very responsible attitude. If you ever find yourself on the receiving end of an invasion pal, we all you know that you won't mind your family been murdered, I mean who cares, they are only collateral eh.

One final point to anyone feeling sad about american troops dying in the Iraq. They didn't ask the soldiers to come. They don't want the soldiers there and why should they. There were no WMD's, Sadam is dead, job done (a job that should never have been attempted). They can go now or a few hundred thousand dead civilians and soldiers later.

Less concern about innocent civilian life? Yeah, great, just what we need. Didn't that attitude belong to the bad guys Hitler, Stalin, Ho Chi Min, etc., not to US good guys? Just turn ourselves into everything we are supposed to represent, albeit not new, just ask the native americans.

We already won the military battle, and we have no way of solving a millenia old civil, religous war. So I guess as long as we have bullets left we should just keep on shooting away.

Not in my United States, I hope to God.

To the brain dead pacifists that think collateral damage should be the #1 priority...read this real slow so it sinks in. The compassion of a people/nation is judged "AFTER" the fighting has stopped. During the fighting we must resort to our most primal nature to achieve victory.
Now here's the part you rose colored glass fools need to consider. By attempting make war more clean and precise we have actually made the world a more dangerous place, with more wars than ever. Why? Because there isn't enough horror in war. No where near enough. The end result is that we have nations quick to beat the war drum.
The continued violence the world now has to experience lays squarely on the shoulders of the leftist pacifist. You nitwits need to think on that awhile

Tell me if you will, what you'd tell the generals to do right now in Iraq. What is your plan?

If I read the stories right, they have no more infantrymen to speak of and those that are there are on extended tours. And if I read an article in NYT right the brass is arguing among themselves out in Fort Leavenworth about who is to blame for the loss and about what to do. There was an ex general calling it a clusterfk this weekend, and he's not the first one. So any of you on the right, what's your realistic answer - - on something that can be done now?

Moonbat prattle.

Listen, if the USA ever has a tyrant like Saddam in power...
whose secret police torture, rape, and murder at will...
snatch people in front of their relatives....
rape their wives, mothers, and daughters in front of them...
feed them feet-first into shredders....
practice ethnic extermination and with chemical weapons...
murder hundreds of thousands and bury them in mass graves...
whose idea of reducing the prison population is lining the prisoners up and shooting every fourth or fifth one in the head...
who loots the national treasury and builds palaces and mansions for himself instead of feeding his people...
who would make it a crime punishable by death to speak ill of him..
whose children are given unfettered power to rape, torture, and murder...
who has the country's Olympic athletes tortured if they lose...
who would ban sites such as ET where dissent can be expressed...
whose opponents in Congress are pronounced to be traitors in a special televised session and then led away, never to be seen again...
who has complete control over all forms of national media...
ETC, ETC...

If the US ever becomes like that, PLEASE, somebody, invade us!!

I know, I know, to you moonbats Bush is just as bad as Saddam or even worse. But that's why you're moonbats...
