I would like to suggest that these are the types of remarks that add little to our understanding of these important issues. I recognize that defining someone's else's position so as to defend and strengthen your own is a common rhetorical technique. But it's often too transparent to be effective among well informed adversaries. In the present case, we all know that hardly anyone, regardless of their politics, is for "[completely] open borders." This is considered by nearly everyone an extremely radical position. Consequently, nearly anyone you might ask "if they believe in open borders," would have no reason to dodge the question, as you allege they "always" will. However they might logically respond with, "Exactly what do you mean by 'open borders'?"

Not really. Although it is true Hitler and The Donald share narcissism as a dominating personality trait, and they may share some racist views as well, there the comparison ends. Hitler was far more intelligent than The Donald and certainly a vastly more effective leader. The accomplishments of these two questionable characters are in no way comparable.
Hittler was never the plaintiff or defendant in over 4000 lawsuits, never operated casinos, and never lied about trivial matters such as whether it was raining.

That being somewhat true, nevertheless, people should not be allowed to crabwalk sideways away from the logical consequences of their positions. There are a lot of people who think- for example- that border enforcement is an ugly american neanderthal thing- yet will not publicly state that they are in favor of open borders. Guess what, putting the welcome mat down and not being willing to stop the flow of illegals is being in favor of open borders.

I think we have to conclude that the Deep State has managed to get control over Trump, either by threats to family or blackmail. First, ouster of trusted aides, now this.
