For all the crybabies: Why not say "FU IRS" and leave the US?

Quote from jamis359:

This should be renamed the "cut and run" thread. I'm born American, proud to be American, and will die an American. If America has to raise my taxes in order to remain solvent, strong and free, then I will do my duty and pay them. Patriotism isn't just saluting the flag, it's also pitching in helping your country when she needs help.

With all due respect! Yes, lets help the incompetent to become more incompetent.

What happens when the majority becomes incompetent and you have nothing left to give by being charged to the full limit?

Then who is left to support the incompetent when you become one of them due to massive taxation bringing you down to their income level or worse?

How much would it cost to create a fake identity? Maybe you could set it up so you could actually collect wellfare from your US based identity while you're living it up in Monte Carlo!! Find some poor guy with no family, make him disappear and just take over his life. Holy shit I can see a movie about this already (based on the life of riskaddict).

jamis359, you are so patriotic. I wonder if you would feel the same way when your tax rate hits 60%.. 80%.. 95%..

Do you have kids? they have been saddled with this new debt that their own grandchildren will never see paid off. They will be born slaves but at least they can stand proud and tell their friends that their great grandfather didnt "cut and run" while the scumbag politicians were selling them all down the river.

Sure, my grandkids will know that I stuck around and helped to fix the damage that the George Bush administration did when he and his corrupt bank buddies did when they didn't enforce lending regulations and allowed several multi-billion Ponzi schemes to balloon at the same time, dragging us deep into debt.

Thats a cop out! Answer the questions asked. It just wasn't the incompetent Bush administration. Although, he was a major part of the problem.

How does daytrading eminis help fix the problem?

3. Once a happy new citizen of a new country, you migrate to yet another country using the non-US passport you acquired during step #2, this time you pick it by quality of life and attractiveness of the foreign residents tax regime. Some ideas would be Andorra, Monaco or Switzerland. Switzerland offers a lump sum taxation regime that enables foreigners who don't work nor do business locally in Switzerland to pay only minimal taxes (Michael Schumacher, Tina Turner, Charlie Chaplin etc. are some notable examples)

I have EU citizenship, lived in Switzerland for 4 years (I was self-employed) it's the best country for taxes and many other things....but it's difficult to live there with US passport....the swiss mentality is something you'll have to get used to, also it's good for older people: not much going on if you're young and want to have fun :D
Also, I was looking into Monaco....good luck finding a decent condo/apt there...this place is way too small....but so pretty :)
Luxembourg is another place worth checking out.
