$208 per family? That's peanuts compared to what a typical family will now be forced to pay for Obamacare. Heck, my wife and I are looking at $12,000/year for premiums versus the $4300 we currently pay. Add in that our deductible will be $12,700 versus $10,000 now. So an extra $10,400 just from the 2 of us (if we were to meet our deductible). But premiums alone will be an additional $7700 so that's a given since we get no subsidy.

You and your types are just ignorant people. Explain to me why a couple in their late 50's needs maternity coverage and pediatric dental or vision care. Requiring people to have health insurance is one thing ... FORCING them to buy crap they do not want or need is something a dictator chooses to do. There is not a person in DC who can justify the 'one size fits all' approach to this.

Calm down. Did I say anything about Obamacare? Sorry to hear of your situation. You are not alone. The ACA needs improvement to put it mildly.

What did the 24 billion get again? Oh right, nothing.

If only we followed the GOP plan to fix the health care mess.

Obama has tackled an issue that has festered for many years and the GOP has largely ignored. Mistakes happen when things are attempted.

Obama has generally been a good if disappointing president. Compared to Bush he is great.

I bet if you tried to put yourself into the shoes of the single mom with few skills and reads at a sixth grade level, you could figure that one out. But you recoil in horror at anything suggestive of sympathy and understanding.

What do your bleeding heart sympathies have to do with my question? Why can't "most" of these so called poor people work two jobs, stop having babies they can't afford, do without a cell phone, give up alcohol cigarettes and drugs...?


I started out myself with no real skills no inheritance and no education beyond high school. I worked two jobs and attended college for six years, before dropping out of college mostly due to burn out. I lived then and still do live within my means. I planned ahead and I worked hard. Very hard. I paid for my own tuition my own car and my own flight training. Why can't they?
