FNM and FRE bailout bullish or bearish

Quote from RiceRocket:

Why do threads always get hijacked by the trolls? I'm re-instating the original question.

I think that this will be FUCKING bullish. What is the bear case after this? The housing stocks have bottomed. New credit is going to be created very soon. We have the xly testing the 200p ma. We are in an election year, with a negative real federal funds rate. The bond market is overbought like never before, which attracted huge US dollar inflows.

Short interest is off the charts.

This market is about to fucking blow off.

I got $500 that says the ES closes below its current level of 1275 on Sept. 30. Bet?

That's an easy bet as my current ES quote is 1277.50. If you want to make a bet, show some commitment. You are another troll, and I'm calling bullshit on you because I'm tired of ET being full of nonsense.

No nonsense here. The proposed wager of $500 is that the ES closes below 1275 on Sept. 30, 2008. Do you accept the wager?

PS. You might want to check your data feed if you are showing the ES @ 1777.5

Looks like the mother of short cover rallies to me. Could go on for a while ... but the Bear will be back bigger than ever, just when you think you're out of the woods. Better get your Wheaties in tomorrow.

Troll,.

If you want to make a bet let's put some real money up. 500k says ES stays above 1200. Make some commitment to your bearish stance.

Let me get this straight. Two post ago you said the market was ready to blow off. Now, you want to bet that the ES closes above 1200 on Sept. 30th? What kind of an asinine wager is that? Are you sure you didn't mean 1300?

Clearly you have no balls, brains or bucks. I'm done with you.

PS. Nice call on oil. :D

Quote from RiceRocket:

I agree with the OP. I see the USD climbing hard, but oil bounced off 113 and rallied to 115 on friday. I think that crude is going to re-test 125-135 within the next 3 weeks. Oil can't just go to 140 then crash. If you understand anything, you will see this trend resume very soon. Crude is the new currency. Now that the Euro is no longer an alternative to the USD, where do you think liquidity is going, gold? lol. Who needs gold? You have to have Crude to fuel the world, no one cares about gold anymore. I could do without jewelry, but I do need gasoline for my vehicle.

Enough said.

You're still pulling troll tactics. You grow some balls and take my wager. Don't try to deflect.

What fucking idiot would bet that the ES is going to drop 6% in the next 3 weeks. You come on here saying the market is going to explode to the upside, and I offer a friendly wager that its not, and you come back with a completely ridiculous, off-the-wall wager. You're a total joke. Don't even bother responding to me.

You're such a smug troll, still trying to detract from the OP. You're trying to hijack this thread. The whole point of this thread was to get opinions about whether the FNM, FRE bailout is bullish or bearish. I posted my premise. That's that

Now this post should resume the original purpose, it's a valuable poll.
