Flynn is prepared to testify Trump directed him to make contact with Russians

Fox News reporter mocks Trump for abruptly canceling White House photo op after Flynn guilty plea

Fox News White House correspondent John Roberts poked fun at President Donald Trump on Friday for cancelling a planned appearance.

Trump was scheduled to appear with Libyan Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj, but abruptly canceled the photo op after news broke regarding his former national security advisor Mike Flynn.

“We were expecting to hear from the president this morning when he was meeting an official from Libya, however at the last minute, they canceled the Oval Office pool spray. They said it’s was a scheduling mistake, that it should’ve never been on the schedule to begin with,” Roberts said, while pausing to bite his tongue.

“Uh-huh. I guess the president just didn’t want to talk about what’s going on today,” he added.

Trump ignored shouted questions about Flynn as he greeted the prime minister in the White House earlier in the day, according to the Associated Press.

just to let you know a bunch of major outlets are reporting Jared was the senior official and he was asking Flynn to call to get them to delay a vote on Isreal at the UN.

If that is the case... a bunch of you lefties are looking pretty foolish on this thread. Now I am not saying that is the case... but you might wish to walk back from the ledge.

Two former Trump transition officials told Bloomberg that Kushner ordered Flynn to contact the Russian ambassador and ambassadors from other countries in an attempt to stop a U.N. Security Council vote condemning Israeli settlement activity.

Didn't read the thread, so my apology if this has already been brought up.

What the Russians wanted, besides the convenience of laundering through Trumps various enterprises, was a lifting of the sanctions -- clearly a win-win situation for Russian oligarchs and for Trump.. Barring that, they could settle for planting the seeds of discord in U.S. politics and damaging U.S. relationships with its allies. If they could get everything, it would be a win win win for Putin and a tie for Trump -- they are not interested in helping Trump. They will help him so long as it suits their purpose. They just want to use him. They could still get something worthwhile, from their point of view, even if Congress blocked lifting of the sanctions. They haven't in any effective way, because Trump is refusing to see that they are implemented, though they are still technically in place. (The latest development is that Trump, in October, sent his own suggestions for sanctions to Congress. ) The Russians have an ace in the hole: Enough information to blackmail Trump, and Trump's continued need for Russian financing, as U.S. banks have turned him down as a bad risk after his numerous bankruptcies and legal entanglements. They are not going to blackmail Trump, but instead just scare the daylights out of him. That is undoubtedly why Trump sent Flynn to negotiate and probably promise a lifting of the sanctions, which Trump would be powerless to implement had the Congress any backbone. (As strange as this sounds, it is entirely possible that Trump didn't realize that he could not constitutionally lift the sanctions without the Congress going along. The President conducts foreign policy without much interference from Congress, however in this instance Congress enacted the sanctions in the form of statutory law.) Flynn promised something that constitutionally Trump, by himself, can't deliver (lifting of sanctions) but extra constitutionally he can, and is. This fits well within the broader definitions of treason, for which Trump , not Flynn, could technically be executed. He won't be. Nevertheless it would be a yuge understatement bigly to assume Trump is home free on this. We are living one of the most bizarre episodes in all of U.S. history.
Fanciful

So Trump colluded with the Russians in the summer of 2016 by directing Flynn to contact them in Dec 2016.

After colluding with the Russians, the Russians set up fake FB accounts claiming that Trump was illegitimate and most these ads were run AFTER the election.

This collusion story makes a lot of sense.
Exactly. These Morlibons don't even understand what they are re-posting. I see this as good news for The President.
