Flu vs COVID

What I find most disingenuous is complaining about people who don't wear masks for Covid but ignore the fact that the flu has always been dangerous and 400,000 people die of smoking related deaths every year and no one cares. I guess only some lives matter and others don't. This is truly a stupid position.

What's truly disingenuous is the fact that people refer to Sweden as not having any restrictions (measures) and not doing a lockdown when in fact Sweden had a "lockdown lite" and has restrictions. It continues when other countries that did not do a lockdown are doing much better than Sweden.

Further, the refusal to acknowledge that people that are not elderly (e.g. young people) do in fact die from Covid-19 because they had an underlying medical condition regardless if they knew it or did not know it.

By the way, I have not seen anyone (health professional) ignore the fact that +400k people die from smoking nor have I seen anyone ignore the fact that 24k to 60k lost their lives to the Flu last season. In fact, I have not seen any message posts at this forum that someone claims people do not die every year from the Flu.

As a reminder, I do remember the same people at this forum that have been hyping Sweden since the beginning of the Pandemic...they are in fact the same people that initially stated "nobody dies from Covid-19"...

That's when the misinformation / disinformation started although recently they've magically changed their tune via now saying "only the elderly dies"...

That too is incorrect as I pointed out in my prior post about why any age is vulnerable to Covid-19 if they have an underlying medical condition to correct someone's continuation with disinformation / misinformation.

Regardless, by sometime next year...there will be an approved vaccine and the same individuals will continue with their conspiracy theories & denying.

I have not heard anyone on this thread, or any thread for that matter, that even mentions death tolls from anything BUT covid. You guys simply don't care or you would have given the same weight of concern about the thousands who die from anything BUT covid. It tells me Covid is simply a political issue and not a real one.

BTW, the concern you are talking about with flu and smoking has not closed down the country although the combined deaths count is MUCH worse. We haven't added in the innocent deaths due to driving under the influence. All of this hang wringing is just a smoke screen by Democrats to take the election and put America in the Iron Fist of socialism.

All I hear is "What if is was your mother?". Well, my mother and father had advanced emphysema and no one cared. My good friend died from small cell lung cancer from smoking. No one has done one damn thing about smoking deaths, but we shut down the country for a virus.

With massive false positives and they never say how many millions tests there doing.

I know loads who've had it, me and most of my mates 2weeks later, nothing worse than a cold for anyone, I know old people 90+ age and a few have died this year, but none from covid.

Don't know anyone who's had it since June maybe, but 4 or 5 who's tested positive for it, with zero symptoms, likely had it June time with also zero symptoms, then got a mild cold panicked get a test, cause when you get a positive test they give you special medecine and fix you immediately, no hang on there is nothing they can do, so the point of getting tested was errr well there isn't.


World has gone MAD!!!

But atleast the people that didn't die can get another job in 10years time on min wage ofcourse, if they don't starve or freeze to death while being homeless, but won't be a covid death so hey nobody cares.

You want someone to keep repeating info about the FLU in this thread when its really a thread about Covid-19 ???

I myself have talked about my prior hospitalization with pneumonia and the number of people that die each year in many threads, number of people that have died each year from other illnesses including posting a great deal of statistical data...

• Nobody cares that more people die each year from pneumonia than Covid-19...very little replies because people care about what's occurring now...that's Covid-19.

Yet, we don't talk about domestic violence that results in death in a thread about Flu / Covid-19...you're theory its because that too is a smoke screen by Democrats ???

What about murders, rapes, home burglary...they too a smoke screen by Democrats ???

That's the problem why some countries are having problems in dealing with Covid-19...they try hard to make it a political discussion instead of a health crisis discussion. Simply, they want the restrictions to continue because if they remove the politics...

People can kick Covid-19 to the curb and then truly be ready to treat it like the Flu when a vaccine becomes available.

Lies, Fake News, I think you'll find, nobody has ever ever died before Covid, not 1 person on the planet ever and I think you'll find all deaths these days, car crash = COVID, heart attack = COVID, Stroke = COVID, see your 100% wrong!!

Bummer by the way, but real world, people have to die, to make way for the younger people, and dying is what makes life worth living, imagine living for ever in boring lockdown just bored, maybe we've all died and we are in hell ? ahhhh!!

Let's talk about the 400k who die from smoking related deaths. People say "It is their choice, so it doesn't matter". Really? Since the greatest majority of smokers started before they were 18, I disagree. Teenagers should not be allowed to make these life and death decisions.
