Florida Real Estate - Two 110-storey condos for Miami

MSN maps place the town of Kendal on U.S. 1, and approx eight miles from Miami. Apartment Guide.com lists east and west Kendal seperately. I figure east Kendal to be east of U.S.1 and extends to Biscayne Bay.

it takes forever to get from kendall to downtown miami.

How could that be? Eight miles is no more than a twenty minute drive.
I'm also seeing that Boca is 41 miles from Miami. I would'nt want to be located that far from Miami. Now I'm thinking more in favour of Kendal as a suburban area (is it suburban?) in easy reach of Miami for shopping, entertainment, etc. As I said before, I see some really decent looking apartments advertised on Apartment Guide.com for Kendal. Didn't see any run-down looking ones, and I'm guessing that the area must be o.k.

With the dollar being halved against some currencies, I wounder if this will push real estate prices up even further in a prime market such as Miami.

The canadian dollar is up 30% or so... that could open the door to more snowbirds.

canadians like palm beach county.
dollar is on its way up.
there are so many condos coming up on the market no way that prices are even staying at these levels.
20% haircut in the next 6-12 months at least

I'm thinking Kendal could be my first stop in a rented apartment. If it doesn't work out, by then I'd have looked around and know where to pick another spot.

so how much would a pad in the round tower cost?

have they been built yet??

if not when will they complete?

i always wanted to live in a skyscrapper - so i can look down on everyone (just kidding on the last point)

I can't wait for this to hit the market myself.

As a Miamian, unless I needed Kendall for specific reasons, it would be one of my last choices......don't sign till you have seen. As far as traffic, yeah...it is horrendous going to and from kendall from the downtown......

Where are you coming from anyway? How old are you? With or without spouse? Alll these figure in where you are going.
