Just for fun, a quick comparison between two set-ups, almost equal in the amount of information displayed, but with quite different costs:
2 x 19" CRT @ 1600x1200 = 3.8 Mpixels. Price about $800.
3 x 18" LCD @ 1200x1024 = 3.9 Mpixels. Price about $4000.
After this comparison, I'm thinking more about getting another good 19" CRT (now I run a 19 and a 15 CRT) as I trade only part of my time (living in Europe, I can do my regular job from 8-14 and trade 15:30 and on). Also, I currently concentrate on trading the QQQs, thus I don't need that many charts visible at the same time.
When, and if, I get really good at trading and if I find it more fun and rewarding than my other business, I'll probably go for a more "professional" setup, like 4x18"LCDs, but even then, I can still use my two 19" CRTs.
Any comments about this approach?
