Regan was losing until November in the Gallup Poll. In fact there was a published Gallup poll showing Carter up six among likely voters in a poll conducted Oct. 24 to 27. Democrats are always over sampled!

Of course, Reagan won by 9%.

That's why you do average of polls in which Reagan led most of the time and won - the same is happening for Obama.
