Five Years Later We Still Need Same Troop Levels In Iraq? That is winning the war?

Mantra of the right wing - "cut and run" , it's easier quoting than thinking.
Hey that could be Rush's new catch phrase "It's easier than thinking" He is so full of himself I can hear him now saying it and all his people laughing and following. The words cut and run have no meaning or basis in fact except to excite the sheep of the neocons and give them a battle cry.
The mantra of the moonbats - call anyone who disagrees with pulling out of Iraq a "neocon," and utterly fail to address what would happen if we were to pull out.

So c'mon, biggie, what do you think would happen to Iraq internally were US forces to leave tomorrow?

Neither moonbat nor neocon, the whole iraq situation was and is a total nightmare.

Keep in mind that the tens of thousands we were told were killed by Saddam, were mostly those who were promised continued support iraq number one, desert storm. Bush sr, who I like. We had a reason to do what we did back then, and we had a good reason to stay and help those who actually supported the US against Saddam. We left, they were hunted down. Was Saddam a bad guy, sure, but he was contained and we had no reason to attack iraq this time around. Afghanistan, sure, and yes let's tracke down bin-laden and al-quaeda, but there is no way in hell that the invasion of iraq will ever be looked up as anything but the stupidest blunder by the US in history.

The right brings up the fact that we're still in Germany, Japan, and other places. Well, these countries are allies now, iraq will never be.

And, Saddam was adamantly against Iran and al-quaeda. So we destroy his standing army and wonder why the iraqi's can't defend themselves, another smart move.

However, I don't buy into the tax cuts being a bad thing. Taxes are generally bad in every case. We have too much government, and it's grown tremendously over the last decade.

I agreed with every prediction by Cheney? Since when? This is news to me. Of course, being the troll you are, you simply toss out unsubstantiated conjecture without a care in the world.

Hello, shit-for-brains: YOU yourself stated in a previous post on this thread that they can't defend themselves!! :

Come on, troll, at least be consistent with your pathetic "arguments."

And if you are going to do a 180 and change your position mid-stream, which is a favorite tactic of trolls but in your case probably just a symptom of your schizophrenia, please post evidence that the Iraqi security forces are in fact capable of providing security if US forces should pull out.

The verbal diarrhea of a small child.

Please reengage this topic when you are able to form a coherent argument. It would be a first, but miracles occur on a daily basis so there's still hope for you.

I meant neocon follower not a real neocon and you may not be one but the cut and run quote is what the followers say and makes those who use it sound like pawns.
I don't know what would happen if we pull out, I don't think I've ever said we should just pull out blindly, I believe our next step in Iraq should be well though out, planned so we can get out of there. There may be no other way to solve the problem than just leaving or it may take a while, I don't know and neither do you.
What I do know is Iraq has been a series of mistakes and lies from the beginning. The neocons conned the religious right to back them in war. Ironic a religion based in peace and love is backing the war machine of the neocons. Turn the other cheek has become hit him first, damn the women and children better know as collateral damage. Where was the love when we were bombing the shit out of them, when innocent Iraq people were getting killed because of us, were you as outraged and concerned about the Iraq people then?
So in summary I don't have the answer for Iraq but I do know the present course is not working. Who ever is elected president will have a big task in front of them, can he/she handle it and the radicals on both sides of our political parties? I will be wishing the best for the next president, but they will need much more than wishes.

Fair enough...Also requiring more than just wishes is advocating a withdrawal from Iraq without concern as to the welfare of the Iraqis once we do so.

The Zzztroll, for example, wants us to leave but it refuses to answer how it envisions the situation to be if we did so. And the troll claims to be compassionate!!

Isn't the Left supposed to be the party of compassion? Or does that compassion end at the US border?
