Five Biggest Border Lies Debunked

That simplifies the issue then doesn't it. The migrants need to apply for asylum in the 1st safe country, which would be Mexico. No need to enter USA period.

Exactly -- immigrants fleeing "unsafe" countries are required to file for asylum in the first safe country they reach -- which would be Mexico. The U.S. should enforce this. All immigrants at the southern border should be denied entry and told to file for asylum in Mexico (meaning they need to file to stay in Mexico & not come to the U.S.).

Unfortunately I don't think Mexico will support this. The country does not want these migrants and simply wants to see them go into the U.S.

Then Mexico can deny them asylum at their southern border. I don't see the problem in that.

But to be fair we have people pouring over our border daily despite our best efforts...not sure we can point fingers at Mexico and say "Why are not stopping them!"

Meh,

In fact, Mexico has since been trailing behind Latin America with an average .9% per-capita output growth rate in the two decades following NAFTA's implementation.
GWB per usual is talking out of his ass. The low wages from American job offshoring has kneecapped domestic industry as many see the easy cash as a way out of finishing college degrees. Easy cash that isn't enough to maintain a household. Mexico's mistake in NAFTA was not implementing the Chinese model of tech transfer through local partnerships to stimulate domestic industry.

Except that's not what our refugee laws say. Don't like it, get congress to change the law.

What MAGA types and a lot of dems now a days forget is that Donnie Dump stretched the definition of emergency to restrict influx of migrants during his tenure due to COVID. An abuse of power as most migrants coming over either were vaccinated or were given the shot in detention before getting bounced back to mexico. This created a bottle neck of migrants primed to cross over as soon as the restriction was lifted, a restriction that was further extended as Abbott/Texas sued and subsequently got his ass handed by SCOTUS. So you see, it's not really that Mexico "didn't stop them" as much as Donnie/texas in part made them balloon across the river. This was all by design of course, much like the current "national guard fight" is.

Republicans Who Screamed About A Crisis On The Border Now Oppose A Plan To Fix It
Many on the right claim the U.S. is being "invaded" by migrants but also want to wait until Donald Trump is elected president again to stop it.

A new President Trump knows how to help slow crossings with Executive Power
Biden is stupid

Its to bad the Democrats didn't do this in 2021 and 2022 when they control the agenda in Congress........
They had to wait until an election year
