I'd still consider getting the book if I were you. Won't hurt, and you'll know a bit more about sleep than you knew before.
Too much exercise can also cause insomnia as well. (Extreme measures seldom work for most things.)

Careful there, you might turn Republican.I am a little afraid of knowing too much but I'll have a look.

Yeah, that part rings true. I (more than) occasionally find myself overthinking stuff, and not to my advantage.I believe it is too easy to over-think and fit/force to a system things that are just a bit messy in reality.
Tons of kids and stupid dogs cause me insomnia.I should move to Mars next.I`m a misanthrope, i guess.
Might be the neighborhood, it is bad in the countryside when every house you pass has a psycho sounding guard dog. I have noticed the dogs here but I must say Colombians are very good dog and horse owners (popular with rich Colombians), at least this city. Dogs rarely fight when people are walking. Kids, I never notice them really around here.
The solution to a quiet life here is live in an upper middle class neighborhood in the city. In the development I'm in no loud music allowed after 10.30pm in the week and midnight at the weekends. It is mostly birthday parties in apartments with the balcony doors open.
In the countryside..no way to control it. You are in an idyllic spot but can hear three different sound systems from people's 'fincas' - weekend country homes.
Costa Rica is expensive though, double the price of Panama generally and Panama is near double here for many things like rent and utilities.
I have been pushing it to get fit for a small movie role next year but it is 12:39 and I cannot sleep, same as the last week and getting worse.
I'm doing a modest enough ~8 mile walk with a weighted backpack (30kg/66 pounds now), alternate that with swimming days and what was 4.30am every morning before trading climbing the 22 floors of the apartment building and back down pumping kettle bells. It is getting harder to wake at 4.20am as I'm not falling asleep at 10pm as I have for years.
I'm getting in fair shape no worries for ~50 years old and but I've not had restless tossing and turning without sleep like this since I was in my teens and 20s.
Any ideas guys? I've tried extra calcium to see if that helps soothe muscles but as I get fitter my body wants to stay awake (though my brain is tired.. so tired).
