FISA : Part of the resistance?

Admittedly, I know much more about it now and it needs serious scrutiny for everyone's benefit.

So why isn't Trump and his cronies in Congress not pressing to reform FISA and the Patriot Act - amidst all the whinging, Trump signed away more rights to the 'deep state' he supposedly hates when he reauthorized it.

We're ok rescinding the rights of brown people

As I said the other day, the FISA court is just trying to get ahead of the curve by throwing the FBI under the bus.

The House Intel Committee passed all the abuses along to the FISA Court and they did nothing.

Now suddenly Congressional Republicans are talking about having hearing to have those fisa clowns in for testimony and to either eliminate the fisa courts or to put public advocates in the courts to watch the judges and the government. Now they be like: Whoa Dude, this is getting serious. Before we were just talking national security, now you are talking about us and our jobs.

If you come into court on a traffic ticket you are going to get more scrutiny than the FBI gets if they want to surveille an American citizen and ruin his life.

The FISA court is definitely part of the swamp. Even if they are not deliberately corrupt, they are part of the DC, inside the Beltway, get along, go along culture that says that the FBI is the premier law enforcement agency in the world and we know that their shiite does not stink so if they signed off on something, well, hey, we have their signature.

The left puts up gofundme pages for McCabe but not for Carter Page. Such is the state of modern liberalism. If it's Big Brother it must be good these days.

Suddenly right wingers care about the mass surveillance state to make excuses for Trump and his cronies' corruption.

LMAO

And by the way, Carter wasn't part of Trump's campaign when the FISA warrant in question was issued, so tough luck about that talking point.
Retarded.
It’s not about getting Page under surveillance at that point. It’s about everyone who is two hops from him.
Totally irrelevant.

Ive always had a problem with FISA and thier 99.9% warrant approval rate.Republicans only have a problem with it because of Trump.Trump seriously reforming FISA is something I would support but he is far to incompetent to do so.

The FISA court was established to prevent exactly what has just happened. The basis was that to bring a request before the court there had to be overwhelming actual evidence, not fabricated.

The thought of our FBI, fabricating, falsifying and altering evidence for political purposes is beyond belief, it reeks of McCarthyism.

The proverbial book needs to be thrown at the guilty individuals as an example to prevent this from ever happening again.

But agreed sadly it needs overhauled.

Nothing was fabricated, this is a Barr fantasy

If he wasn't part of the campaign then why would he be in contact with anyone in the campaign? And even if he was, why would he be communicating anything important. Half of Trump's campaign team is in jail for various crimes, if they really wanted to surveil Trump, there were plenty of other easy marks.

But logic doesn't matter, let's pretend Dotard was the real victim of the FBI when in fact FBI torpedoed Hillary's campaign with the email bullshit.

Inbred hicks with shit logic strikes again.

The court needs to be reformed we can agree on that.
