Quote from dafugginman:
nobody has a problem with FNYS, and your inquiry is probably a legitimate one. but the people on this are jaded, and rightfully so, due to a common scam exhibited by traders of another firm, that shall remain nameless. it's actually a decent firm, but this behavior is nauseating.
this pattern goes
a) new poster (who is actually from firm X, a frequent poster under another name, and gets a referal from firm X for bringing in traders) with under 5 posts (often) starts thread
b) poses following question in varies forms; tell me about firm A, B, or C, who has the lowest rates in NYC, who has the best platform, who has the highest payout.
c) the same poster who posed the question invariably comes out with (who gets the referral). that firm sux, mine is the best, PM me for more, etc, etc, etc.
First New York is a good firm for beginners. they trade big, have a good reputation, provide a salary while your learning. the only downside, is that you are a slave for another trader while you learn.
