First Case of Obamacare ID Theft

ROFLMAO

The Dems are pissed because they got out foxed. Look what they resorted to to pass Obamacare.

I live in VA and this is great news to me. Thanks for posting, kid. :D

You're welcome . . . you must belong to the club of crooks also. :) .

Yep, the party that lied their ass to pass a bill to take over healthcare, and used bribes such as the cornhusker kickback are now up in arms because republicans finally decided to play by the same rules, forgive me if i dont shed any tears.

Obama did himself in by breaking the law, lying, and bribing people at every turn, his opponents gained justification because of his actions to play by the same dirty rules.

My card is a chipped card with PIN. Supposedly it was skimmed using some RF tech. So now I'm shopping for a "Faraday wallet".

Well first... I will ask how they got your four digit PIN code - it does not come from skimming with RF tech. I will note that I have not found a location in the U.S. that uses PIN Codes however. Nearly all U.S. credit cards with a chip do not not use a four digit PIN, you have to sign for your transaction -even when outside the U.S. (of course this makes them totally insecure).

Second I will note anyone using RFID encoding cards with any common sense uses a RFID blocking wallet - the letter that comes from the credit card company tells you to do so.

Not only that, when you dispute a claim with the CC companies, they are pretty fast to refund the money. Good luck fixing your credit in any reasonable amount of time when someone steals your identity. Ricters example is actually a good example of why credit card companies, and the private sector work, where as government, and beaurecracies do not.

Your reply is why I didn't even reply to Richter. The few times I've disputed a transaction it was resolved within 24 hours. Identity theft can take years to get resolved and can get expensive. And I'll bet $$$ that we will have more Obamacare ID theft going forward. And the government will have to provide identity theft protection to those affected .. the only question is for how many years and what the ultimate cost will be.

They won't have to refund me any money, as it's a credit card not a debit card. Not sure the thief needed my PIN, maybe they were shopping online. At any rate, a new card is here, no mention of getting a Faraday wallet enclosed (even though everyone knows what that is, yeah, sure, that's right, just as soon as they google it...). :D

Can't say I'm surprised .. given the quality of the various vendors/contractors hired for this fiasco.

OMG I you guys were right. I've never heard of something like this happening in America before, we are doomed.
This is so new they don't even have a name for this type of crime yet...I got it lets call this new crime identity theft. :D

Yeah, yeah ... live in DENIAL!

The thread topic is about Obamacare and ID theft.

the point is this is just another problem related to this disaster.

Can you name one thing positive about Odumbocare?

Disaster on web site rollout.
People couldn't enroll online.
Navigators employed with no background checks.
Michelle's ex college friend a VP at the crappy software vendor.
Sebelius lies.
Odumbo's MANY lies.
Odumbo extends deadline.
Of the supposed 8 million 74% were previously insured.
Of the 26% remaining about 80% paid premiums resulting in 1.76 million newly insured.
Almost 90% are getting subsidies.
Cancelled policies of people who were responsible and had health insurance.
Now we have in excess of 25% of the 8 million with issues regarding income, immigration or citizenship.
And we see 40% more ER visits thanks to expanding Medicaid.
Family premiums did not go down $2500 as the dictator had stated.
And now the start of ID theft due to the incompetence of the government and their contractors.
And billions of $$ spent.

And all this results in 1.76 million newly insured of which almost 90% are receiving subsidies and the millions added to Medicaid who pay zilch.

There are a lot of people still unhappy with Obamacare, but an even larger number who like many parts of the ACA.
