First Call on Thomson, Trak Data, Reuters, etc

Anybody using First Call notes?

I-banks became much more selective in alllowing small firms access to their research. Thomson and all others require contact details in order to grant access.

Anybody with a way around this? anyone using first call?

They are one of the tightest firms, yes.

When we used their service, it was through the old ILX system and we had access to FC Notes. It was arranged through a hedge fund we also worked with in the same building. You could try calling someone in a hedge fund if you know them and possibly get you access. It wasn't cheap though.

thats exactly how i had it in the past, through ILX ...
i believe thomson bought them, but these days it much tougher getting the service.

Thomson charges about $700/month for notes and close to 1K/month for full reports with tables/estimates, but without broker relationships at each bank, one cant get it.
