Thanks for this. I personally find it highly illuminating because I too was brainwashed in the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) system from first to fourth grade. Luckily I like to read so I was able to see a little bigger piece of the world and subsequently questioned the evangelical taliban so much they essentially kicked me out to a real school. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad that these folks are convinced that colleges brainwash people given the brainwashing they themselves were subjected to. For example, real quote from an ACE PACE(their self-paced learning booklets) "The nuclear fusion theory of how the sun emits heat and light is an invention of evolution scientists… All other theories require the sun to use up all its energy sooner than the evolutionists’ invented timetable would allow." and "Although many modern scientific discoveries are not mentioned in Scripture, any scientific theory should be compared with Scripture. True science will never contradict the Bible because God created both the universe and Scripture. Some scientists may, like the early philosophers, contradict the Bible because their interpretation of their observations or their philosophical presuppositions are wrong, but the Bible, God’s Word, is infallible. If a scientific theory contradicts the Bible, then the theory is wrong and must be discarded."
The crap is so ridiculous that they themselves are ashamed of it and vigorously sue anyone who quotes so much as a sentence of it for copyright violations (and lose, turns out they understand law as well as science).

Christians are a funny lot, they would be hard-pressed to find another religion that has killed so many throughout history - directly contradicting the core of their faith.
Maybe that’s a simplistic understanding of the Bible. Most of it is pretty violent.
Unless one has a direct experience of Christ, it is just blind faith.
We see however that a few muslim terrorist groups are doing their best to break the record.
My only caution is that there are fundamentalists and there are Christians. Fundamentalists are responsible for the vast majority of the hypocrisy and evil propagated in the name of Christianity, nearly 100% of it today. Christians, on the other hand, can believe in a non-literal interpretation of the bible and indeed often have had/do have what they feel are personal interactions with Christ that makes their lives better and often leads them to work to make others lives better. While I'm now neither, I try to hold off dumping that Salvation Army preacher who selflessly devotes their life to the lowest of the low on skid row in the same bucket as Billy Graham Jr. claiming sexual assault as a teenager is "not relevant". That's especially hard for me having grown up one of the latter and trying to stay as far away from anything "Christian" since, which I acknowledge has kept me from knowing a lot of the former, probably to my detriment. ACE boy though, is clearly a brainwashed fundamentalist through and through and although I won't paint the world as black and white as he does I do consider his kind to generally be a force of evil in the world. I joke that most of us would rejoice if the rapture actually happened and took away everyone who literally believed in it.
