I can't agree more. I thought we had learned from how German and French farmers have hamstrung and still hamstring innovation and efficiency in the European union. I through we had learned how Japanese rice farmers have handcuffed and still handcuff the entire economy by banding together and dictating what the ruling part must and must not do. But unfortunately, we have not learned a thing. Instead of taking farming just as one of many business sectors we treat farmers like holy priests and are told by Washington D.C. how we must worship and obey. Truth be told most farmers today are not the poor 2-5 acre family owned operations but wealthy individuals or corporations who have amassed hundreds of acres each and play the poor man's card to force everyone to oblige to their political views (The average farm size in the U.S. today is 440 acres, proof below in the link). Most people in small towns all across America actually DO NOT benefit from farming, not directly, not indirectly. It is one of the great myths today that middle America depends on farming. The investors/owners of those farms greatly enrich themselves through subsidies and the benevolence of their Republican representatives, yet hardly a penny of those earnings trickle down to other businesses/owners. The number of companies and people who benefit from the farm trade are very limited in context of the larger picture.

Wait, did you actually provide any facts of issues rather than attacking people? I have provided facts and can back them up. Why are you in this thread if you have nothing constructive to add?

It is not because I hate Trump that I am leftist. His party just put the wrong man on top of the list for the elections. It was the worst choice they could make. I don't like Hillary too.
I am not in my twenties, I have a job (full time trader) and I am not a retired gov worker. I actually don’t even live in the US. So none of the accusations are correct when it concerns me.
I can see things maybe more objective because I am not infected by blinding patriotisme.

Trump said in the interview that he was "fortunate" to have not served in Vietnam, which he called "highly contested and unpopular."

Free trade is a conservative principal, which is what the thread's about. Tarriffs and protectionism are a populist position, and as such are understandably hard to defend on their merits, so you're left with ranting about puke and bizzare threats to leave, as if anyone cared.
