Firing Back at Trump in the Trade War with Tariffs Aimed at His Base

Instead of ad hominem attacks, please dispute the documented facts please.
Ad hominem attacks is all the guy's got. Anyone who disagrees with his political viewpoint is a lazy, freeloading, unpatriotic, pervert, apparently. And when you call him on it, for example when I offered to share my retired military ID with him via private message because he didn't believe anyone who served in the military could possibly not share his viewpoints and flat out called me a liar.... crickets. Still waiting for him to take me up on that offer, apparently he's able to maintain his fragile viewpoint only by point blank refusing to see any contradictory evidence (https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...-a-fresh-master-of-physics-grad.313837/page-7) I can only say it's a sad way to go through life.

THE slogan in 6 years time could be LAEA or let Americans eat again.
Maybe being on the outside looking in one can see more clearly what is happening.
And as a staunch ally it concerns us.
Will just one man fry the planet with his climate change views ? If the icecaps melt sea levels are expected to rise 64 metres. If so it is goodbye to all the seaboard cities.

Interesting fact, cranberries are controlled by a cabal called Ocean Spray that would put everyone in charge of it in jail for a long long time if they were subject to the same anti-trust laws as every other for-profit business in the U.S. But they are but poor farmers banding together as a co-operative, so under the Capper-Volstead Act they get immunity from the anti-trust laws the rest of us have to follow. So no, you wouldn't be able to trade Cranberry derivatives and if you could you'd be up against a legal price fixing monopoly so probably not the best place for trading profits. Hope this screws all of them; greedy self-entitled, holier than thou farmers.
Hmmm. You now about cranberry stuff

I know, right. Sadly that knowledge and $2.00 will barely buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Actually the cranberry co-operative is a famous operations case study that pretty much every first year MBA has to do. Depending on how well rounded your operations prof is you may get a riff on Capper-Volstead as a free bonus. So most of us know far more about cranberries than we ever cared to. As I recall we even got into details like how far a ripe cranberry bounces since that was used by the sorting machine. Amazing the useless fact you remember years later.

“In Mitch McConnell’s home state, Kentucky, 18,000 jobs depend on whiskey. So the Chinese put a 25 percent tariff on it.

Representative Paul D. Ryan, the House speaker, is from Wisconsin, a leading producer of cranberries. So China added cranberries to its list of raised tariffs.

China also went after pork and soybeans, two of the leading farm products in Iowa, home of Charles E. Grassley, a powerful member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.

“Forty percent of our exports are now under punitive tariffs,” said Jim Monroe, a spokesman for the National Pork Producers Council.

The Chinese aren’t the only ones playing this game. Mexico also took aim at whiskey. So did the European Union. And Canada.

Mexico added pressure on Mr. Grassley’s voters with a tariff on pork. The European Union sent a message to the House speaker by singling out motorcycles — delivering a blow to Harley-Davidson, which is based in his state.”

I thought President Trump was getting impeached? Now, its "only 2 more years to go."

Promises made, promises kept.

MAGA!

Their own software...lol

Or short term gain, long term pain??? Future will tell.

Google has only 1.84% market share in China.
Alibaba is one of the biggest webshops in the world.
China is working on replacing Windows and Android by their own software. (same thing happens in Russia)

This is ancient news OP, but a stark reminder should help I guess. For latest "tariffs" look at China lowering the tax on imports from competing countries.
