Fire at the site of the biggest nuclear reactor in Europe

Zaporozhie Nuclear Reactor
Shelling the Zaporozhie Nuclear Reactor - What capabilities of the Power Plant are damaged? Nuke Containment? Boilers? Generators? Transformers and transmission Section?

Big differentials in potential disaster depending on what is targeted and hit. If the Reaction Containment Vessel is targeted, that would make Ms Manners assign an Unsatisfactory Conduct evaluation on that behavior. Transmission facility? Could be much worse - say maybe a gain of function bio-warfare agent released worldwide, which also earns Ms Manners Unsatisfactory Conduct eval. By the way - Is the Keystone Pipeline Completed and Capable of Transporting Petroleum? Who benefits from All of This?

soon all their Nuclear power plants will be bombed, and the radiation will spread far and wide to Kremlin and beyond.

Shelling the reactor containment buildings seems like a very bad idea. What does Putin gain from that? Releasing radiation will not benefit the occupiers much either. How about just hitting the transmission towers. Then when Putin installs his puppet leaders to replace Ukraine gvmnt they can more quickly get the power back on and show how "benevolent" Russia is. A radiation mess is much harder to deal with.

Putin is expanding the war against Europe if that plant blows up and its radioactive cloud drifts outside Ukraine, like the last one did.

Maybe that's what Putin wants to stay in power.

We are behind in some weapons systems and are extremely vulnerable defensively. NATO countries need to harden their infrastructure while providing training and resources to those willing to fight for Ukraine and perhaps those related to other recently acquired Russian lands. The marriage of eager fighters, insurgency specific technology, technique, and resources for insurgency warfare will be the foundation of bringing down Russia if they continue on their present path, whether nuclear or not.

Economic sanctions against Russia over time along with harassing attacks on their infrastructure by partisans will cause Russia to fail economically, fall behind technologically, and to divert otherwise productive people to defense. Further, quality of life for Russian people will decline, causing increasing civil unrest including protests. Was is Putin going to do? Put everybody in jail?

The US has a massive number of people who own firearms, many of whom are ex-military and retired police who can be activated to protect against sabotage. We can accelerate anti-missile defense system development and look to efficiently militarize private vehicles such as SUVs, civil aircraft, and civil boats. Creating cross platform, cross class, and extra-class parts compatibility will allow us to multiply our defensive and even offensive capabilities at relatively little extra cost. A side benefit to doing this would be increased innovation and more efficient cross training. Further, we would be better prepared for natural disasters and even supply chain bottlenecks.

I have much more specific information to share on this, but work beckons soon.

This is one of the stupidest statement ever made.

So we want to turn Ukraine into another Syria. And ISIS can enter easily. So you think ISIS is better than Russian army??

If US and Europeans want to turn Ukraine into another failed state, EU is at risk. With the visa free travel inside EU, the migrants can go anywhere.

How do we know the fire is caused by Russian army?

It could be sabotage to fend of Russian army. Russian army just has no single reason to attach a nuke plant.

Maybe because Ukrainians have even less reason to want a nuclear catastrophe in their own country again?

Sure, then international community can bail them out. Sure no Russian help this time.

I'm sure the Russians will help once their "peacekeeping mission" is over.
