How are new financial data providers like Algoseek, Tickdata, Polygon, DxFeed, etc disrupting the financial data industry?

What innovation are they bringing to the table?

nothing. Most important thing is data quality, data diversity, and an easy to use sdk/api. All the other flashy UI things are never used by anyone other than someone who can't really use the data

They focus on building a data distribution network. They may have proprietary frameworks or be early adopters of new technologies that would be classified as "Big Data", but they act as utility companies to the financial trading community.

At some point, the hype machine might take them up. However, it is easier to hype end-user tech such as the brokerage phone app, Robinhood.
