Not really, though. We’re all falling for lower-loss scams all the time, it’s called politics, advertising or religion. We also had huge confidence cons where very smart, connected people got scammed out of millions.

Scammers use the combination of “air of authority” and strong emotional triggers (sex, love for your family, fear of prosecution etc) to create situations where “something needs to be done” and money is a vehicle to do so. If someone calls you saying that “your son was just arrested and you need to pay X to resolve it”, plenty of people would fall for it because emotional connection to their child is more important than the money

She’s a moron and needs to be fired from anything financial related. I was introduced to Kitboga and Scam baiters by kids in sixth grade classes(Helped in SPED), Gosh!
