No, they tried to have the voice of about six states heard, those states who sent alternate electors that Pence decided to ignore. Those six silenced states represent all silenced, disenfranchised peoples.
They should have waited for the full hearing of all the senators and reps who were planning to object. But with Pence's pronouncement at the beginning, they grew emotional about the futility of the kubuki theater.
If i was there, i would not have gone in no matter what, because im a leader not a follower, not a believer in that kind of incursion, and would have kept legal distance. Im just explaining how the system, in its ignorance of and coverup of a fraud...how that system incites rage that will be hard to contain.
So which six states sent CERTIFIED alternate electors.

For all we know, the officer on other side had orders to kill anyone who tried to enter. I don't problem with that. I have a problem with all the other cops that let these rioters get this far. They should have beaten them like baby seals as they tried to come up the stairs

The alternates represent the voices within a state that is experiencing turmoil and injustice. Pence was either well aware of that injustice or was ignoring it. Those states were having trouble adjudicating their most legal decision given rhe time constraints against those corrupt partisans running out the clock.
Actually, there is still 20 months for those states to finally adjudicate and this is your biggest challenge to the fraudulent administration stepping in. Pennsylvania asked for ten more days to adjudicate, but Pence ignored. They DID have the right to demand remand of the mixed signals.
Part of the problem is legislatures are not in session, at their posts, after elections, long enough to litigate remedies for mass fraud.
