Let us compare the quality of Trump supporters either who got shot by the police, got shot by a a Leftist protester, or who shot another protester in self defense with Leftist supporters who got shot by police or Right supporters as well as Leftists who support those shot by police.

All the Trump supporters, as far as I know, involving in some way in a relatively recent shooting are upstanding and employed citizens. Most of the Leftist supports or those shot that are supported by Leftists are career criminals.

All unnecessary loss of life is tragic. When it comes down to contribution to our society, some losses are more tragic than others.

The key for progress is for each side to respect each other positions and to search for common ground. At least if you are going to request cooperation by the other side. Many in law enforcement and in the military, including generations of ex-law enforcement and ex-military support Trump and have utter distain for the Left. Personally, I tend get along better with those on the Left than authoritarian personalities on the Right, if you can believe that.

We'll have to see what the shooter knew, and when did he know it. Those LEO's weren't this/close to the woman. IOW, the shooter may not have seen them, as he didn't have a direct view through the glass/opening.

Regardless of where other LEO's were, the woman breached; and a mob was present. The shooter was sworn to protect the officials.

He couldn't say, "Well, maybe she'll be the only one breaching, and running to attack. I'll just wait to see what happens."

No, he shot, knowing he and his immediate colleges couldn't suppress a full mob, hoping that shooting her would deter further mob action, as well as suppress her attack. Imo.

He had a clear line. A miss, or through and through would have hit the wall. Again, he wasn't shooting parallel to the hallway.
