I've always gotten real-time streaming quotes. Sometimes, for the first hour after the market opens, some lines of data seem to lag, though. Fidelity is aware of this problem with some of their servers.

Fidelity definitely serves my needs better than Scottrade ever did. Fidelity only charges me $8 for stock trades with far better execution than Scottrade. With Scottrade, I never got a buy below the ask or a sell above the bid with any market orders. With Fidelity, nearly all my market orders are between the bid and ask.
I am thinking about opening an account with Interactive Brokers, though...
