Few people talk about how boring trading can be

Try do that on Gold, then tell me if it's boring , I can recommend more pairs for you, but take gold by the horn first, for there will be hardly a dull or boring moment

Thanks, I've been thinking about trading gold. Tesla has really caught my eye too.

Make 50 trades per day and lose money like I did that one day.

Basically, I don't think you're doing intraday trading which I wouldn't call boring..... And that's ok.

Trading is pretty boring.
Well, I have no offense to what you feel, but trading has been chosen by some people here as their career, the only source of their income because of which they trade all day long. It is stressful enough but strict risk management is needed to avoid the emotional barrier. Granted not for everyone, it depends on how people trade.

Well that's nice, but some of us are just starting out and learning our lessons. Which it would be boring to anyone else who is learning. But I've found with positive results it becomes less boring:thumbsup:

Title: "Overcoming boredom in trading"

My profitable trades, are my boring trades. Seeing the wins are fun, but the trading itself is more or less boring (If I don't spend my time on other things). For me it has become pressing a button and waiting a couple weeks, rinse and repeat. Trading isn't how I spend my time, it's more a side thing that I just do, because why not?

When I was a beginner I took many trades a day ofc, And it was the most exciting thing. Basically a gambler. Then I started reflect on my trading, and the problem? I couldn't take the boredom of sitting in a trade for a long period. Solution? I learned to tolerate the boredom by finding something productive to do while I wait (Still working on this).

If you can be profitable while still having a blast doing it, hats off to you.

Tips to be productive while waiting: Start writing a blog, take up studies, hang out with friends, have a job, have a part time job, volunteer at help centres.
After 158 trades and about 5 losers I agree, for jollies have a parachute jump http://optionsinvesting.co.uk

Of course it's boring -if you want a thrill jump out of a plane or sail the Atlantic in November. Day trading is another mind set- no idea why people do that, when you can make serious coin with options and work 30 minutes a week. I suspect it's thrill seeking and most people blow up after a while. Been trading 20 years never saw the logic of trying to guess an intra day move. Thought I could day trade despite a prolific futures trader telling me after 15 years she had at best broken even, but each to their own. Nothing is more boring than poverty however
