Let's take a look at Oz's career highlights -- starting with what his own colleagues think of him...
For years, his fellow professors at Columbia and other medical professionals have demanded Oz be expelled from the faculty of the university due to his constant promotion of quackery and non-scientific nonsense. They stated the following back in 2015 -
“Dr. Oz has repeatedly shown disdain for science and for evidence-based medicine, as well as baseless and relentless opposition to the genetic engineering of food crops,” the doctors wrote. “Worst of all, he has manifested an egregious lack of integrity by promoting quack treatments and cures in the interest of personal financial gain.”
In 2022, Columbia University Medical Center finally sent Dr. Oz packing and scrubbed any references to him off of their website -- which was long overdue.
Dr. Oz stopped seeing patients years before his Senate campaign. Back in the 1990s Dr. Oz may have been a talented heart surgeon -- but similar to Rudy Giuliani, Dr Oz has spun completely downhill pushing fanciful nonsense and promoting his own celebrity to earn money --- rather than staying focused on science-based medicine. A point that was outlined by his surgical colleagues, Jerry Whitworth and Eric Rose, who cut all ties Oz due to Oz's non-scientific medical nonsense and Oz's constant promotion of a media circus.

Some people on social media claimed Pennsylvania voters reelected a state representative who died before the election took place. VERIFY readers Ian H. and Allen asked the team to look into whether that’s true.

Yes, a Pennsylvania state representative was reelected after his death, but this isn’t indicative of fraud.
The candidate died nearly a month before Election Day, after ballots were already printed. Pennsylvania law doesn’t allow candidates to be replaced on printed ballots.
WHAT WE FOUND
State Rep. Tony DeLuca, an Allegheny County Democrat who represented Pennsylvania’s 32nd Legislative District for nearly four decades, was reelected by a landslide during the November 2022 election.
As of Friday, Nov. 11, DeLuca had received nearly 86% of the vote over his Green Party challenger Queonia Zarah Livingston, state election results show. But DeLuca died on Oct. 9 – nearly one month before the Pennsylvania election – at 85 years old following a brief battle with lymphoma.
So why was his name still on the ballot? That’s because of Pennsylvania law and doesn’t indicate election fraud, as some have suggested.
In the event of a candidate’s death, state law says replacement candidates can only be submitted before ballots are printed.
Allegheny County sent its data for ballots to the printer on Sept. 28 and ballots began going out from the post office several days later on Oct. 1, county spokesperson Amie Downs told VERIFY.
DeLuca died more than one week after ballots were printed and sent to voters.

A special election will be held to fill DeLuca’s vacant seat following his reelection, the Pennsylvania House Democratic Campaign Committee said in a tweet.

The state holds special elections when someone in office can no longer serve, whether they resign, pass away or are removed from office. Everyone who lives in the candidate’s district can vote in the special election, the state department says.

Id say the odds are against him but still possible he serves out his term. You don’t know if he is being used by anyone. At the end of the day it was fetterman’s decision to continue the campaign and he won.
Many people in both chambers have heath issues and serious ones too, on both sides of the aisle. Fetterman is not the first senator to have a stroke, nor is he the first person to run for the senate after having a stroke - happened in Illinois some time ago to a Republican candidate.
The point is that it is sad to see but this is not uncharted territory either.
On the actual health issue, the reporting is that fetterman’s continued stay is to monitor for possible seizures and he has been cleared of having a second stroke.
