Fence in the queers

income tax
social security
federal , state , local govt benefits of partners retirement, medical, dental , .

forcing private business to do the same

How is it you are so fricken clueless?

So denying people those benefits but giving it to other people promotes a nanny state? Perhaps they should remove those benefits for everyone!

Also, to be more effective at arguing, you should stick to your point instead of trying to insult people.

1) no , expanding those obligations promotes the nanny state and I'm against that in ANY form.

2)I'm okay with that, as a matter of fact rolling back the nanny state is our chief problem faced by the nation today.
3) You insulted yourself by failing to observe the obvious and it elicited an appropriate question. I answered your question in no uncertain general terms but you were too stupid to put 2+2 together, must be a you can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink thing.

Obviously you let your sexual orientation to render you incapable or unwilling to think rationally due to your vested personal interests and that's a shame.

There are no doubt many issues you or I may think inappropriate. It doesn't mean they are.

No it doesn't. So who determines what is appropriate?

Quote from Brass:

When I was a young kid, there was no such education. What we learned from grade 7 onward did not cover homosexuality. As kids, we made fun of gays, although none of us knew of any personally (at least not knowingly -- you can imagine why), and we called them by another name. Looking back, it must have been really tough for those kids who marched to a different drummer. And even though I was always an empathic kid, some things just didn't sink in until later.

----------------------------

Perhaps if we had gotten a head start to better understanding at an appropriate time, we might not have been so judgmental and more accepting of those among us who are "different."

You don't need a lesson on homosexuality in school to be a nice person.

You don't need a lesson on homosexuality in school to respect people who are different.

Do you need a lesson on how to be nice to people with big noses, red hair, too tall too short too dumb or uncoordinated?

I don't think so...

As far as homosexuaity being taught in sex ed, I think kids can learn about anal sex on the internet.

Quote from Brass:

But that's the thing. If there is going to be any sex education at all, at whatever age it is deemed appropriate, then key topics should be covered, which would include homosexuality. Not that it should be encouraged. Merely explained. In that way, people who have that orientation won't feel left out of humanity at a young and impressionable age, and the majority who are straight will be educated enough not to ridicule and tease kids who they feel are "different." Win-win.

Right , I could use the same feel good pablum to use as an excuse for teaching S&M to middle schoolers "cause we're SO misunderstood".

If one form of deviancy is okay why not all?

Which is tougher...
Marching with the drummer or getting drilled by the drummer?

It's not even that the activity be called deviant. My problem with this attitude of everything is OK, is that I truly believe that the radical elements of the homosexual community would have every single young person experimenting with all types of sexual behavior, all under the guise of sex education. At some point they would have us be a nation where all people are, or have been engaged in some sort of bi-sexual activity. Then the kiddies can make an "informed" choice. Where's a better place to start than with young people? Mind's of mush and pretty much a 24/7 boner.
